Striking the fallen. This is a mall (splitting axe) that was in my garage. Ive been using this for about 3-4 years now and it means reliability and stability to me. Some struggles I had was taking the axe out of the stump when taking the pictures as well as putting the axe in the way I wanted it to go in. Another difficulty was the weather. At the time of taking this is was about to rain soon
Glitch (Mezzotint)
Soaring. This is a small carnival football. I got this when I was about 6 from when my grandpa took me to the amusement park and helped my win a basketball shooting contest. Since then my grandpa and I have grown a lot closer until he passed in 2020. This is one of my favorite things that I still have from him. A hardship I had which photographing this was having to snap the photo when the ball was still in the air after I had thrown the ball straight up.
Defying expectations (Color Halftone)
Against all odds. This is one of the wild purple flowers that I like to grow. Since about last summer these purple flowers have started appearing all over the lawn and generally prettying everything up. Whenever I see these come up in the spring time it's always a nice sight because It means that its almost time for summer. A pain when taking a photo of this was that there were bunnies near the plant and I didn't want to make noise or be super close as to not disturb them.
April showers (Crystillize)
Persistence. This is a super old oil lamp. We found this when my grandma was moving out oh her house because she couldn't afford to live there anymore. I remember that my dad saw this in the kitchen where all of the stuff she was gonna throw away was, and my dad brought it home as a fun project. When we got home my brother and I as well as some WD40 went to work and began enabling the screw off top as well as cleaning all the old bad oil out of it. And when we fixed it we just kept it around. At this moment the lamp was pretty dusty and had some soot on it which meant that I could only place it in one location before it would get soot all over the wood which was a pin to clean off.
Unorthodox (Mosiac)
Momentum. This is one of my favorites, it's a gift for Christmas from my cousin to myself. When I was over at my cousins house celebrating Christmas with everyone he taught me how to do a kick flip. This was one of those bonding moments between us that i will never forget, and it also got me into skating. When photographing this I had to kick it up the slope of my driveway so it would stop at the top which was a little annoying to try and photograph.
